Rhona retires!
(Sept 2011)

Rhona a well-loved celebrity at Woolly Park Farm (The home of Farm Animal Rescue Sanctuary), has decided to quit her public engagements and live a more sedate lifestyle grazing with her friends. A spokeswoman for the sanctuary said, "Rhona is a charming 13 year old lady whose vet has advised that she should bow out of her rather busy public engagements and take things a little easier".

Comments

We caught up with Rhona and asked her if she had any comments for her fans. "This may not come as such a shock to my loyal supporters who are probably fully aware of my little bout of ill health" she said. "However, I will continue to live under the care and support of the sanctuary and look forward to a happy retirement with my friends. I do hope that you lovely people will continue to support me in my old age. Thank you to all."

Contented

As Rhona posed for a photo, I must say that she looked very contented and we wish her a long and happy retirement to come. You can send Rhona some supporting funds here - Thank You.

 Carole's Hare-Raising Experience!

Running a sanctuary, you have to learn new skills pretty quick when needs must, and Carole can now add "hare-raising" to her curriculum vitae.  This poor young chap was brought into the sanctuary after being hit by a passing vehicle.  "We rushed him straight round to our vet," said Carole. "Unfortunately, he suffered the loss of one eye in the incident, but has responded well to treatment and is making a fast recovery." He now lives with Carole at the sanctuary where he enjoys lambs milk which Carole feeds to him with a syringe. "He'll soon be running around again" said Carole .

Mucking Out

Our annual "mucking out" procedure has now been completed in time for winter. We would like to say a huge *Thank You* to all of you that contributed to this appeal. This is a huge but necessary task that requires the use of contractors, so your help is most appreciated. Thank you.
